Indonesian zinc oxide production in the past five years has experienced positive growth, except in 2015, the product had declined due to the weakening rupiah against the dollar.
In 2014 domestic Zinc oxide production was recorded at 24,529 tons in 2015, which decreased to 23,236 tons. But in 2016 the price of Zinc Oxide chemistry in the international market began to improve and the strengthening of the rupiah, the production rose to 27,229 tons. The increase even continued in 2017 to 27,782 tons. In 2018 it was estimated that production would increase again to 33,228 tons.
