P.T. CCI has been succeeded in preparing and publishing business directory which is containing company profile of manufacturing companies scattered all over Indonesia. We are very interested in providing the directory because of our observation from the data of Central Bureau of Statistic that up to 2012, the export of mineral raw material tend to increase with its volume and value were sizeable. For instance, the export of nickel ores raw material up to 2012 increased average 54% per year. In 2008, export of nickel ores at a total of 10.6 million tons valued at US$ 524.3 million. For the year onward, the export was disposed to increase until 2012 that reached at 48.5 million tons valued at US$ 1.5 billion. Thus, until June of 2013, export of nickel ores has reached at 28.8 million tons valued at US$ 824 million.
Likewise the export of iron ores & sand looked like keep increasing in several years. In 2008, export of iron ores & sands reached 6.5 million tons, valued at US$ 136 million than keep growing to increase trend up to 2012 which reached 10.4 million tons, valued at US$227.4 million. Therefore, the export of iron ores and sands for the last five years went up 15.7% per year averagely as well as its value increased at US$ 22.4% per year. Up to June 2013, the export of iron ores & sands has increased at 10.6 million tons, valued at US$ 212.5 million.
With only two kinds of mineral materials above, it seems that there is a huge potential of mineral materials continue to be exported to other countries so casually, whereas the materials are used domestically if processed prior to be semi-finished materials, as all this time Indonesia still import some processed product such as pig iron or sponge iron which is derived from iron ores & sands processing.
